“Seminar Presentations-2021” events ended with the presentations made today

The "Seminar Presentations-2021" online academic events planned by the social work department ended with the seminar held today, June 11, 2021. Social work lecturers, graduate students and undergraduate students attended the presentations of the graduate students regarding the thesis proposals they plan to work on.

Muhammet Erhak Uysal gave information about the subject, problem, method and importance of his thesis based on qualitative research titled "Approach to Ecological Balance and Sustainable Development Goals with a Social Service Perspective". By approaching the ecological balance problem and sustainable development goals, which concern the whole of the purpose of the study, society and living life, with a social work perspective; He stated that the activities to be carried out at the macro level of social work and the role of the activist that the social worker will assume are to show that the society can be conscious about the ecological balance problems, to reveal the similarities between sustainable development goals and social work, and to show that development goals can be realized with macro social work.

Hande Karagöz gave information about the subject, problem, method and importance of her thesis based on qualitative research titled "Evaluation of Conflict Management Perceptions of Social Workers Working in State Hospitals: The Example of Izmir", which she plans to work. Considering the importance of the work done in the execution of health services and the inevitability of conflict due to the density and constant circulation of the people served; she stated that the aim of the study was to evaluate the perceptions of conflict management of social workers working in public hospitals, who may be at the center of conflicts and sometimes take an active role in the resolution of conflicts.

Sümeyye Nur Evlice also gave information about the subject, problem, method and importance of her quantitative research thesis titled "The Relationship between Parents' Sensitivity to Violence Against Children and Parental Attitudes", which she plans to work. She stated that the aim of the study was to examine the relationship between the level of sensitivity to violence and parental attitude of parents with preschool children.

After the contributing suggestions and wishes of success of the participants; 2021 seminar presentations were completed with the evaluations of our department chair regarding the targeted and achieved results with the seminar presentations.
